Predictix announced that M.Video, a consumer electronics and home appliance retailer in the Russian Federation, has selected its software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions and begun implementation to improve the company’s planning and forecasting processes for the 163 store retail chain.
To achieve its top business priority for 2009, M.Video needed a comprehensive planning and forecasting solution with fast time-to-market that would help the company reduce its inventory and increase item availability amidst tough market conditions. With this project, M.Video hopes to improve store-level service by having the merchandise its customers want, in the right stores at the right time. The retailer also required the ability to perform forecasting at the SKU level to support its purchasing decisions – so it turned to Predictix with the goal of meeting these needs in a quick timeframe.
The implementation is a joint project with Deloitte CIS, a Predictix partner and leading business consulting group for retailers in the region. Deloitte CIS will act as M.Video's local partner during the implementation process, with Predictix managing the technical configuration while Deloitte CIS handles the business process, change management and training angles.
As the first solutions of their kind, Predictix Planning and Forecasting surpass traditional retail planning and forecasting solutions by offering feature-rich modules accessible anywhere over the Web.
Predictix solutions can be quickly and easily tailored to meet a retailer's specific needs and provide innovative features not found in traditional systems. With the flexibility of the SaaS model, every solution within Predictix's consumer-centric merchandising suite is offered as a monthly subscription with no long-term contacts, additional hardware requirements, or ongoing maintenance and upgrade fees.
"Predictix proved that it could deliver its Planning and Forecasting solutions in a short timeframe and also had the extensive experience we were looking for in working with leading Western and Russian retailers," said Alexander Tynkovan, president and CEO of M.Video. "By helping us work toward our goals of reducing inventory and improving merchandise availability to meet our customer demands, the Predictix implementation aligns with our top priorities for the year."
"With M.Video's continued growth, the company needs quick results – and a traditional merchandising solution could not provide that," said Molham Aref, CEO, Predictix. "We are working quickly and diligently with Deloitte CIS to give M.Video greater transparency to the supply chain so it can maintain and even improve its efficiency, accuracy and customer service."
