The Institute of Business Forecasting (IBF) will be starting its first local chapter in Basel, Switzerland. The objective of the chapter is to provide an environment where local practitioners can network, exchange ideas, and learn from experts on a regular basis.
The goal of the chapter is to foster the growth of forecasting & planning and the careers of those working in this field. Meetings will be held approximately once per quarter, and will occur on weekday evenings after normal business hours.
The inaugural meeting will be March 31st, 2009 6:30AM, in the Lonza Tower, Münchensteinerstrasse 38 4002 Basel, Switserland. This meeting is complimentary to all who would like to attend.
Featured presentation is "Forecasting and Planning In A Financial Crisis Situation" by Thomas Hsu, Director Supply Chain EMEA of LONZA AG. Thomas has worked in several international management positions for Lonza, Lufthansa Group and Lufthansa Cargo, including management of sales offices, international supply chain optimization projects and global alliance management.
