The Institute of Business Forecasting & Planning is very proud to offer attendees of the Demand Planning & Forecasting: Best Practices Conference to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada from April 30th – May 2nd a special presentation which will offer insight into the inner workings of one of the most impressive forecasting and planning functions in the large, multi-category retailing industry.
Among other lessons learned, attendees will be treated to a lesson on "Forecasting for Multi-Category Retailers" from Josh Pollack, the Vice President of Replenishment & Planning at Sam's Club.

In addition to the general sessions and workshops available at the conference in Las Vegas, the IBF has put together its 6th annual Pre-Conference Consumer Products & Retail Forecasting Forum. This year's forum is highlighted by a panel of experts from firms such as W.L. Gore, Yokohama Tire, ShopperTrack RCT, and Sam's Club will be featured on the panel as well. The goal of this forum is to encourage multiple organizations to share forecasting knowledge and experiences with one another. Attendees at this half day session will enjoy sharing common forecasting & planning challenges and their solutions with both the panel members and their peers. Forum attendees can expect to pick up tips on Supply Chain Management & Forecasting, Strategic Planning and much more.
Lessons on how to prepare statistical forecasts will also be available by participating at the 1-Day Statistical Forecasting Tutorial. This program is intended to offer attendees a comprehensive understanding of the many quantitative methods used by practitioners today. The Statistical Tutorial will provide practitioners of all levels, knowledge on how to prepare accurate forecasts with statistical models used in business. "This tutorial will give attendees the skill-set and knowledge on quantitative, as well as the qualitative aspects of forecasting needed to make intelligent and accurate forecasts which they can put to work immediately upon returning to their office" says Anish.
This event will also provide an opportunity for attendees to sit for the Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF)® exams for the IBF's unique certification program that validates ones experience, knowledge, and skill set in forecasting.
