Forecasting Principles reaches 3 million visits

The Forecasting Principles site summarizes all useful knowledge about forecasting so that it can be used by researchers, practitioners, and educators. Visits have now exceeded 3 million. This equates to an average of more than 5,700 visits a day.

The ForPrin.com website is devoted to improving decision making by furthering scientific forecasting. On December 6, 2009, the number of visits to ForPrin.com exceeded 2 million. Visits have, as at May 30 2010, now exceeded 3 million. This equates to an average of more than 5,700 visits a day or more than 2 million a year since December 6.

The Forecasting Principles site is provided as a public service by the International Institute of Forecasters. It describes all evidenced-based principles on forecasting and provides sources to support the principles. The primary source is Principles of Forecasting, a comprehensive summary of forecasting knowledge which involved 40 authors and 123 reviewers.

Changes are made on a regular basis, usually many changes each week. The rate of visits has been increasing, and the makers expect the total visits to exceed 4 million well before the end of 2010. They thank all visitors for their support.
