Convio, a marketing agency which focuses on the nonprofit sector, has acquired analytics and predictive modeling firm StrategicOne for around $5m in cash and an additional performance-related figure of $1m payable over three years.Convio designs online fundraising campaigns that enable non-profit clients to convert individuals into supporters. StrategicOne, which was founded in 1997, works in the commercial sector as well as for nonprofits, helping clients attract and retain new customers/supporters, while reactivating those who have lapsed. Its total 2010 revenue was approximately $2m.
