Third edition of ‘Benchmarking Forecasting Practices’

The Institute of Business Forecasting (IBF) released the third edition of ‘Benchmarking Forecasting Practices’. This edition is based on the 2005 survey conducted at the Best Practices Forecasting Conferences and Tutorials. Earlier editions were based on the 2001 and 2002 surveys.

The new edition adds important issues to the previous one. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment (CPFR) have been added to the Forecasting process. Next to that, the background of Forecasters section has been expanded and additional information has been provided on the forecasting for New Products.
