New Forecasting competition

Michele Hibon (INSEAD, France), Peg Young (US Department of Transportation) and Miriam Scaglione (University of Applied Sciences, Valais, Switzerland) are initiating a new forecasting competition – on transportation data.  Similar in style to the previous M-competitions, this research will require experts in forecasting to practice their techniques on numerous time series. Different in style to the previous M-competitions, the data all pertain to a particular sector: transportation.
